The
seal was selected from the Indus valley civilization depicting
a male deity with three faces, seated in yogic position
on a throne, wearing bangles on both the arms and an elaborate
headdress. Five symbols of the Indus Script appear on both
sides of headdress, which are made of buffalo styled curved
horns. A
single branch with pipal leaves rises from the middle of
the headdress. It was also called as 'Proto- Siva",
and considered as god of death and fertility.
