The NOSD believes that investing in human capital is one of the most effective means of alleviating poverty and encouraging sustainable development. In present's scenario, realization is growing rapidly that men have to live in harmony with environment.

The NOSD is contributing to generate conducive atmosphere by reviving and making optimum use of contemporary traditional wisdom of local people to restore and develop value based spiritual society wherein humankind will respect existence of all creatures of the nature.

The logo of the organization depicts the harmonic relationship between human being, plants, animals, spirituality etc.

The seal was selected from the Indus valley civilization depicting a male deity with three faces, seated in yogic position on a throne, wearing bangles on both the arms and an elaborate headdress. Five symbols of the Indus Script appear on both sides of headdress, which are made of buffalo styled curved horns. A single branch with pipal leaves rises from the middle of the headdress. It was also called as 'Proto- Siva", and considered as god of death and fertility.
