The NOSD believes that " If people are helped to discover and develop their inner resources through an environment providing opportunities to use their abilities, they will demonstrate an increased capacity to manage their lives. The key to unlocking their potential is not a body of useful knowledge or a message to be delivered or a social issue to be pursued. It is the creation of a climate and establishment of a relationship by which people can exercise the capacity to choose the knowledge, to express the ideas and to identifying the issue that have priority in their lives".

As per the need and requirement of the people, different orientation training Programs, awareness program have been conducted for the grass root level as well as project staff. Proper emphasis have been given on enhancing the people's skills to develop positive thinking, to motivate and to work together to gain sustainable livelihood.
